KnowYourVisitor is a research project implemented in the framework of the Single RTDI State Aid Action “RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE” under the priority sectors of Information and Communication Technologies. The “RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE” support measure has been launched under the Intervention II – Business Partnerships with Research Organizations, and is financed by the Operational Programme Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014-2020 (EPAnEK).

The key aim of KnowYourVisitor is to provide advanced ICT systems to identify and manage identification and crowd flow using personalized, low-cost mobile tools.

Identification will not require a continuous Internet connection to cover even areas where connectivity is limited locally. The interconnection between the citizen and the controller will be possible with any convenient local BLE, NFC, and WiFi Aware, but also networked with WebAPI where available.

This approach is proposed for the first time unified for open and closed areas of mass concentration of populations without additional high-cost infrastructure facilities. Based on and adapts to the European Area the internationally developed Mobile Driver's License ISO 18013-5 which will enable the driver's license card to be issued directly to a citizen's mobile.
